Sharing Our Living Space with WildLife

FOXES

Both the red and gray fox are extremely effective in rodent control. Sharing our living space with Foxes

  • Although foxes are rarely dangerous to humans, report any signs of illness or aggressive behavior to the Department of Animal Control.
  • Foxes will prey on domestic cats. Keep your cats indoors, especially at night.
  • A secure well maintained pen will keep this wily hen-house thief away from your rabbits or chickens.
BREEDING: 3 - 9 pups in March/April
ACTIVE: Nighttime or daytime; may come close to houses; active year-round
DIET: Rodents, birds, small mammals, fruits, insects
