Save A Dog Today (Matchmaker&Adoption Center)'s adoption process

Additional adoption info

How our adoption process works:
First Step: E-mail us for a online application or see our website at sadt.info

Second Step: Once we receive your application we will e-mail you back to let you know that we received it .
We will then review your application which can take about 2 days, once approved someone will contact you either by phone or e-mail.

Should you not get approved that does NOT mean you are not a suitable home, but that the dog you choose is not the best fit to your lifestyle or the dogs lifestyle.

We try to match dog and human as best as possible to not just have a happy ending but the dog will hopefully stay in that home "forever.
Third Step: To get approved your Vet references need to check out, meaning that you took prev. pets or current pets to the Vet for at least their Rabies shots, showing that you're a responsible pet owner.
Fourth Step: Once the Vet references check out we will set up a physical home check (or get pictures from you), someone will come to your home, check the fencing, place the dog will sleep, meet all family members, that is to assure us that the animal will be save and live happily ever after.
Fifth Step: Once the home check is approved, you can then come meet your "dream dog" and take him/her home with you, after signing adoption contract
paying the required adoption fee by either cash or check.
We always try to work as fast as possible as we know you are excited to get your new family member home. There will be times that we have family emergencies or are sick so the adoption process could be slowed a bit, we appreciate your patience!

Save A Dog Today (Matchmaker&Adoption Center)'s adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Redding, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
