About Our Rescue Group:

Fail-Safe 4 Felines, Inc., is a non-profit organization that has come together in an effort to humanely reduce and ultimately eliminate the procreation of the feral cat and kitten population in Downey. In so doing, we will be effective in significantly reducing the euthanasia statistics associated with this issue. We operate on a 100% volunteer basis. All proceeds are used in the care (medical and otherwise) of the feline population in Downey. All donations are tax deductible as we operate under the 501(c) (3) exemption law. We also have some of our furry felines ready for adoption at PetSmart in the Downey Landing. You can see them anytime during store hours.

Come Meet our Pets:

Unless otherwise indicated, our cats can be seen any time the store is open in the Adoption Center at the Downey PetSmart in the Downey Landing Shopping Center, 12126 Lakewood Blvd., (Corner Lakewood and Stewart & Gray), Downey.

Fail-Safe 4 Felines holds adoptions on Sundays between noon and 3:30 p.m.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption hours at PetSmart are Sundays from noon to 3:30 p.m.. There is a tax-deductible donation fee charged at the time of adoption that will help defer some of our costs. PetSmart is located at 12126 Lakewood Blvd. in Downey and their phone number is (562) 803-1607.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
