About Our Rescue Group:

Tip of Tex was organized to help the large number of unwanted or abandoned homeless dogs in South Texas, and is primarily a K-9 rescue. We have, however, helped and taken in abandoned donkeys and/or goats. Tip of Tex K-9 Rescue is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 organization and any donation is tax deductible, and is also a member of The Very Best Pet Network.

We take mixed breeds as well as pure breed dogs. At Tip of Tex K 9 Rescue our policy is to first evaluate the health and condition of the new arrival.

Come Meet our Pets:

Anyone interested in coming out and visiting with the dogs must call ahead of time for directions and by appointment only. For more information please refer to our website or simply email us for more information.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoptions are 100% totally guaranteed. If for any reason you are unhappy with the pet or if you can no longer care for the pet please return that pet back to Tip of Tex K 9 Rescue. We will always attempt to match the right pet with the right person or family. We want every pet to go to a FOREVER home with a wonderful caring family who will be responsible pet owners.
We do require that all dogs be spayed/neutered prior to leaving our facility. In the event that this is not possible a spay/neuter contract must be signed. Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
