About Our Shelter
K-9 Stray Rescue League is a non-profit
organization dedicated to saving dogs from the euthansia list at area animal control facilities. Our Rescue is run by volunteers who work hard everyday to find loving homes for these doomed pound puppies. Come Meet our Pets
Our kennel is located at 2120 Metamora Rd. Oxford, MI. We are just north of Oxford and just west of M-24 (Lapeer Road).
Our Adoption Process
Our facility is open Monday, Thursday & Sunday 1 - 4pm, Friday from 2 - 6pm, and Saturday 11am - 4pm.
You can fill out our adoption application onlineat www.dogsaver.org/k9srl Our dogs are brought up to date on all vaccinations and tested for heartworm, they are all spayed-neutered at our expense. Our adoption fee is $200 for all dogs and pups except those over 8 years old which are $125.00. Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group. |
