About Our Rescue Group:Texas CARES is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. Our all-volunteer group provides shelter and veterinary care for homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.
Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters, and/or found roaming the streets. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.
Texas CARES was established in 1992 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All of Texas CARES' funding comes from donations and fundraising events.

Come Meet our Pets:Texas CARES hold staffed adopt-a-pets at the West Plano PETsMART every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. and on the second Sunday of each month at the Plano Petco from Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Our Adoption Process:Texas CARES' cats and kittens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Applications for adoption can be obtained from a Texas CARES volunteer or found on our website: www.texascares.org. Adoption fees are tax deductible donations.
