Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Frederick, Montgomery, Carroll, Washington counties in Maryland.

About Our Rescue Group:

Pet-4-Pets is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer rescue group run by seven full-time volunteer women and many other part-time volunteers. We foster all cats in our homes where we get to know each cats personality, likes and dislikes, and where we can give them the love and attention that they need until they find a wonderful new home. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the hours of behind the adoption and after adoption process. Since we are non-profit we also need volunteers to help with raising money to help feed and vet all these wonderful cats. We also need foster homes, there are more cats than homes and each day we have to say "sorry, there is no room for us to help".

Come Meet our Pets:

Pet-4-Pets holds open houses every Sunday to help find the cats new and permanent homes. On Sunday we are at the Frederick, MD Petsmart from 11 am to 4 pm. Each week our volunteer foster moms bring some of the cats that they are fostering in to be viewed and adopted. If you are interested in a cat that you have seen on the web, please call so we can make sure that cat is with us at the open house. We have more cats in foster homes than we have show cages, so not all the cats come to every open house.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Our first step is for you to fill out an adoption application. After we have looked over the application and gotten an idea of what you are looking for we will talk to you about the cats we have and their likes and dislikes to match you up with the type of cat/kitten you are looking for. Once you have found a cat that you want to adopt you will fill out our adoption contract. We do have an adoption fee of $125.00 for one cat and $225.00 for two cats. This fee helps to cover the medical costs for that cat. Each cat is spayed or neutered, vaccinated according with their age, tested negative for Leukemia and Aids, de-wormed, micro chipped, and checked and treated for fleas and ear-mites. You will also be given a copy of their medical records as well as a packet of information to help you with the understanding of your new cat/kitten. A few weeks after your adoption a follow up will be done to make sure that everything is going well with your new family member. We are always available for question or to help with any problems that come up with the adjustment. We try to make every new home a happy one for the cat/kitten as well as the new adoptive parents.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
