ANIMAL ANGELS
About Our Shelter
We are primarily a sanctuary. The majority of our animals have been abandoned, neglected or abused. When we have room, we take in owner release animals, otherwise, we post their animal on our website to help them place the pet. Most of our animals are adoptable but some come to us because of problems that prevent them from living within a family. Others, while adoptable, are simply old and unfortunately, most people want younger animals. All animals can live their lives out here. They are not caged unless they have a problem of some kind. They live in groups with lots of room to run and play.
Come Meet our Pets
We are located near Jacksboro, Texas. That's about 100 miles from Dallas and 65 from Fort Worth and 60 from Wichita Falls. We do not do off-site adoptions. All of our adoptions are via the internet.
Our Adoption Process
We ask an adoption donation of $150. An online application must be completed before coming to the sanctuary to meet the animal chosen. We screen the applicants and have no problem turning down those that we feel uncomfortable adopting one of our animals too from the answers they furnish via the application.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
