About Our Rescue Group:

Flat-Faced Friends Rescue is an animal rescue organization started in 2003, based in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are an all-volunteer rescue focused on saving Persians, Himalayans, and other nasally-challenged felines. We've also expanded to take in cats of all sorts, especially during kitten season.

We started because, as volunteers at local shelters, we were saddened by the large number of animals, especially Persians and Himalayans, that were euthanized due to overpopulation and easily corrected health issues, from Pueblo, Colorado, to Casper, Wyoming.

Come Meet our Pets:

Cats are kept in a network of foster homes. If there is a kitty you'd like to know more about, call us and we'll arrange a meeting with the foster family and feline.

Our Adoption Process:

All adopters will be required to sign a contract promising to keep cats indoors as pets, as well as taking good care of them forever after. If at any time in the future you need to find a new home for the kitty, you will return them to Flat-Faced Friends Rescue.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
