About Our Rescue Group:

Greyhound Ranch Adoptions, Inc. is a pro-greyhound organization set up to give refuge to greyhounds retiring from racing activities by providing shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, and foster-care programs. Our goal is to ready the canines for adoption into qualified homes. We devote a great deal of time to the education of the public regarding the history and development of the greyhound breed.

Come Meet our Pets:

Greyhound Ranch Adoptions, Inc. sponsors greyhound 'meet and greet' events in the community on weekends. Volunteers educate the public on the greyhound breed, sharing information about life as a gentle companion dog after a rigorous athletic career in the racing industry. Volunteer foster families prepare greyhounds for a loving home life - readying them for placement into a home with a forever family! Most greyhound 'meet and greets' are held on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at various locations throughout Orange and Seminole counties in Florida.

Please contact Leslie Woliner at 407-804-5257 or 407-461-7379 (cell) to get more information or to volunteer your talents.

Come out and pet a 40 mph couch potato, and see why they make a fast friend!

Adopting a friend
Greyhounds are adopted by application only. Adopting families must agree to keep the dog as an indoor pet. Greyhound Ranch Adoptions, Inc. is committed to each dog in the program for its entire life; therefore, if there is ever a need to give up your greyhound, it must be returned to our group.

You may select a greyhound from the dogs available in our program or identify the characteristics of the dog you want and we will search through our network of adoption groups for an ideal match. A representative will contact you to schedule a home visit with the greyhound you have selected. And, an adoption contract will be completed at the time of placement.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
