We have a contract and a fee of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats. All animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots.

About Tehachapi Humane Society

We are an all volunteer group that runs an active spay/neuter program in our local area and rescues as many animals as we can fit in our foster homes and donated kennel spots. We pride ourselves on being truthful about our animals and finding lifetime homes.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
