About Our Shelter:

The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, placement of animals in responsible homes, and the extension of humane education.

Come Meet our Pets:

You can visit with the animals for adoption at our shelter Monday thru Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are now OPEN on Sundays 11 AM to 4 PM

Our Adoption Process:

When you adopt from our shelter you get more then a new furry friend. You also receive a health exam by a veterinarian, and a voucher for a small bag of food and adoption kit. All are pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and de-wormed. The dogs are heartworm tested and the cats are FIV/FeL tested. The adoption fees are as follows: Puppies under 8 months are $100, Dogs over 8 months are $75. Kittens under 8 months are $50, Cats over 8 months are $40. Senior adoption prices are as follows: Dogs over the age of 6 years are $35, Cats over the age of 6 years are $25. Also, if you are a senior over the age of 55 and are adopting an animal over the age of 7, the Senior to Senior discount is applied. The Senior to Senior adoption price is $5.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
