Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are based out of the Raleigh/Durham, NC, area but have fosters in many other areas such as Charlotte, NC, and even in other states.

About Our Rescue Group:

Diane Sacripanti Craft is the Founder of North Carolina Rottweiler Rescue. Diane started rescuing dogs in 1997 and started NCRR in honor of her beloved Rottweiler, Storm. Storm has since passed away but her memory lives on in every life NCRR saves.

Sadly, we have to turn away many dogs because we do not have enough foster homes. We always NEED volunteers to foster a dog until he or she is adopted. Won't you please consider becoming a "foster parent?" You do not have to live in NC to foster or adopt. The rewards are much greater than the effort you put into it!!

We are a non-profit organization. We are always happy to receive financial donations, food donations, toys, crates, etc. Please help us to help these babies who would otherwise be "put to sleep."

Adoption donation varies but ranges from $150 to $350. There is a $25.00 application donation. If approved for adoption, the $25 will be applied to your adoption fee. Applications are available online on the NCRR website. ( All potential adopters must complete an application and will receive a home visit from an NCRR representative.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
