About Our Rescue Group:

Countryside Rescue is a rescue group that saves animals from our local shelters to avoid over-crowding and make room for new animals coming in. We also accept pets from owners that can no longer care for their pet. We always have lots of dogs and cats for adoption and occasionally farm animals. During the spring and summer, we always have kittens for adoption. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly flea preventative and heartworm preventative, and micro-chipped before being adopted.

Driving Directions:
From the North Bay -
Take Highway 101 South to Santa Rosa. Continue through Santa Rosa to the Steele Lane / Guerneville Road exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and head west. Continue on Guerneville Road for 4.4 miles. The Guerneville / Fulton Road intersection is the last major intersection before you reach the kennel. Stay on Guerneville Road another 1.8 miles. Countryside Kennel will be on your left. If you pass Zazu Café you have gone too far.

From the South Bay -
Take Highway 101 North to Santa Rosa. Continue through Santa Rosa to the Steele Lane / Guerneville Road exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and go under the freeway and head west. Continue on Guerneville Road for 4.4 miles. The Guerneville / Fulton Road intersection is the last major intersection before you reach the kennel. Stay on Guerneville Road another 1.8 miles. Countryside Kennel will be on your left. If you pass Zazu Café you have gone too far.

Our Adoption Process:

We require an adoption application, landlord approval (if renting), adoption contract, and adoption fee for all of our animals. Adoption fees vary depending on the type of animal being adopted. Please contact us if you have any questions.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
