Robin's Nest Rescued Cat Adoptions
About Our Rescue Group
The Humane Society of the United States has estimated that one male and one female cat and their offspring will produce over 240,000 cats within seven years. In light of this frightening statistic and the suffering of stray and feral cats, we have come together to form Robin’s Nest. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation. Our mission is to reduce the cat overpopulation crisis by trapping, spaying/neutering and returning feral cats to their respective colonies. We provide each colony with food and water daily and some type of shelter. We also rescue adoptable stray cats and after spaying or neutering and providing other needed medical attention, we try to find them permanent, loving homes.
Many times the cats we trap turn out to be friendly, lovable creatures that long for human affection. We provide foster care for these animals and seek permanent homes for them by advertisement and adoption clinics.
Come Meet our Pets
Our adoption center is in the Petsmart in Mohawk Commons, Niskayuna. Our adoption clinic hours are as follows: Monday - Friday 6 pm to 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday noon to 4 pm. Come find your new best friend!
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption fee is $80 per cat. This fee helps to cover our medical costs that have been associated with your new pet and also goes to spay and neuter other unadoptable cats. All cats available for adoption through Robin's Nest have been spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV and had rabies and distemper vaccines.

Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat
or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from
a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
