About Our Rescue Group:
We are registered charity organization based in Ontario, Canada, devoted to saving small dogs, both mixed and purebreds, from shelters, pounds and puppy mills. All our dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date with routine shots. We strive to assist people in choosing the best suited dog to become a new member of their family, in order to achieve a lifelong, rewarding relationship.Come Meet our Pets:
We do not have a shelter. All our dogs are in foster homes. Appointments to visit with our dogs can be made after an application is submitted. Our Adoption Process:
A completed adoption application is required. Potential adoptors are carefully screened and a home inspection must be done. Upon adoption, the adoptor signs an adoption contract that assures the dog will be well cared-for in the new home. The contract also guarantees the dog will be returned to Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue if the adoptor can no longer keep him.Our adoption fees (based on age of the dog,see chart below), help pay for the feeding, care, and vetting of our dogs.
New Adoption Fee Structure (effective immediately)
Under 1 year - $375
1- 5 years - $300
6-9 years - $250
9+ - $200
Prices subject to change without notice.
If the adoption does not work out and the dog is returned to us within the 2 week grace period, adopters will have the adoption fee refunded minus a $100 administration fee.
(Applications, including home visits, usually take two weeks or more to be processed. All of our application processors are volunteers and most of them have families and full time jobs. Please bear with with us)
In an effort to raise funds to vet some of the more severe abuse cases, one of our members has volunteered to paint chalk portraits of your dog or cat.
Her prices start at $35.00, and all that is needed is a clear snapshot (.bmp or .jpg) of your pet. Please see the picture on this page for an example.
