About Our Rescue Group:

We are a private organization dedicated to finding suitable homes for homeless, abused and unwanted cats. We carry out our mission through caring for these cats in foster homes until they can be placed in permanent loving homes and educating the public about responsible pet care.

ADOPTION LOCATION

Pet adoptions are held at Pet Club, 835 W Warner Rd, Gilbert, AZ, on the SW corner of Warner & Cooper Roads in Gilbert.

Sundays from 11-3 pm

We can also arrange a "meet and greet" at your home. Contact information is listed on each pet's page. Email or call the number listed or phone 480-278-9744 to arrange a convenient time.

Our Adoption Process:

All adoptions require an application be completed. Go to www.werethecatsmeow.com/adoptions.html and complete the form. Our adoption counselors will review your application and will be in touch with you. We will either arrange for the animal to be seen at our regular adoption events or we can do a home visit so you can see the pet.

ADOPTION DONATION
We charge an adoption fee of $75 for kittens and cats. Adoption fees for dogs will vary but is usually $200. We do a reduced adoption fee for adopting two pets together.

These fees help pay for a vet exam, FeLV/FIV tests, vaccinations, dental check and cleaning (if needed), deworming, and sterilization. Many animals also come in with injuries or illnesses and each one is evaluated and treated appropriately. Our organization is comprised totally of unpaid volunteers and 100% of all adoption donations go to the care and treatment of the animals.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
