Pets at Our Rescue Group:
Yorkie Friends Rescue is a new rescue group, founded in March 2005, in the state of Alabama. We have members in several states. Most of our members are in Florida, but there are others in AL, GA, TN, PA, WI, and AZ.
Our group is dedicated to rescueing and rehoming Yorkshire terriers, Yorkie mixes, and sometimes other small dogs in need.
Come Meet our Pets:
We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are fostered in the homes of our members in many different states. Our corporate headquarters is in Alabama because one of the two founding members resides there, and Alabama was chosen as the stae in which to incorporate.
If you do not live in the Alabama area, but are interested in adopting a Yorkie or Yorkie mix, please go to our website. Each dog available for adoption is listed with his/her location included with the picture.
Our Adoption Process:
All persons interested in adopting one of our babies must go to our website, print an application, complete and mail it to Yorkie Friends. We require a veterinarian reference and other references, as well as a home visit. When approved for adoption of the dog, you will be required to sign an adoption contract in which you promise that, if for any reason you cannot keep the dog, you will contact Yorkie Friends Rescue to give us the option to reaquire the dog.
Adoption fees vary from $100-$400, depending on the age and condition of the dog.
All of our members are inpaid volunteers, most of whom work full time jobs in addition to their rescue efforts. Please be patient if some time is required to respond to your inquiries or application.

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!
