Additional adoption info
We require an online application to be filled out prior to any adoption along with a telephone interview. We do check references through your Veterinarian and personal references.After that is completed we than set up an appointment for adopter and furkid to meet. Adoption fees vary for each furkid. At the minimum each furkid is spayed or neutered, vaccinated with Rabies and Distemper/Parvo, Microchipped,Heartworm and fecal tested as well as started on a monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Upstate Chihuahua Rescue is a non-profit rescue center owned and operated by Christina and Trent Keller.We are a husband and wife team that has dedicated our home and life to the efforts of rescuing and rehoming Chihuahua's and other various small,medium and large breeds. Our passion began 11 years ago when we rescued our 1st Chihuahua named, Chalupa. He was born with 3 legs and needed a special home and we gave him ours to call his own.
