About Our Rescue Group:

We are a non-profit group dedicated to the care and welfare of Border Collies. We take dogs in from a variety of situations including but not limited to owner turn ins, shelters, and strays.

Our goal is to maintain a small rescue environment so that each dog gets the individual attention and training that it deserves. Border Collies are unlike any other breed and they require much of their owner's attention. When a dog comes in, he/she is evaluated for temperament and health. Our Border Collies are given basic obedience, socialization, and rehabilitation as needed. Once the dog has been evaluated it is our job to find that dog a forever home.

We rely on donations to keep us going. All donations are greatly appreciated and go straight to the dogs. Thank you for your interest and support in Border Collie Rescue.

Come Meet our Pets:

Because our dogs are kept in foster homes viewing times vary. We do our best to find times that are convenient for both foster homes and potential adopters.

Our Adoption Process:

Please go to our website and fill out an adoption application. This will help us match you with the "perfect" dog. We will not just adopt to anyone interested in a specific dog. We do an evaluation process to ensure that the dog and new family are a good match. Our dogs are required to be on monthly heartworm preventative and flea preventative. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and full of love to give. The typical adoption fee is $200 but may vary depending on the individual dogs situation.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
