Cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
We are a small, all volunteer non-profit organization that specializes in placement of cats and rabbits with emphasis on spay and neuter, humane education and senior assistance.
We are an IRS 501c(3) tax-deductible public charity. Tax ID# 20-3198293. We have a California business license and are also registered with the California State Attorney Generals office for charities.
We recieve NO government funding and rely solely upon the generousity of the public. 100% of all donations go towards the animals in our adoption center and foster homes.
Please consider becoming a volunteer or foster family. We need and appreciate any assistance you can offer to help the animals in need. We need weekend adoption counselors and cleaning and feeding people. We also need a research assistant to make phone calls and surf the internet. We also accept volunteers to simply stop by and socialize the animals during the day - ask us about this special opportunity!
We'd love to have a scout group hold a bake sale fundraiser and help the kids earn their badges!
Foster Homes: All supplies and vet care is furnished and the commitment time is 2 days to 2 months but averages about 7-10 days. You supply the love and attention!
Since we are the resident adoption agency, our cats can be seen anytime during regular store hours.
Our Adoption hours are Saturday 11-3pm, Sunday 2-4pm, Monday & Wednesday evenings 6-7pm and Thursdays 7-8pm. We are always available to schedule off hours appointments.
Rabbits are brought in the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.
All rabbits are spayed or neutered, given flea control and come with an adoption kit that includes a free vet exam.
We require a vet reference and perform a home check. Proof of residency is required as well (copy of tax bill, mortgage showing ownership or copy of lease allowing pets.)
You must be 18 or older to adopt.
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
