Cedar Crest Companions
About Our Rescue Group
Cedar Crest Companions is a newly formed organization specializing in canine rescue. We work out of foster homes, not a shelter, so each dog begins to learn crate training, housebreaking and basic obedience skills while they live with a foster family.
Come Meet our Pets
All of our dogs are located in foster homes. Therefore, anyone interested in adopting one of our rescued dogs, must be preapproved before a time is scheduled for visitation.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption process consists of the completion of an application, phone interview, references, veterinary reference and home visit.
The adoption fee is $250 to cover the expenses of care, spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, worming, general exam, and the 1st dose of Heartworm and Flea/Tick Prevention. All of our rescued dogs are bathed, nails clipped, and come with a leash and collar at adoption time.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
