About Our Rescue Group:

The Kitten Brigade is a not-for-profit cat and kitten rescue organization based in San Jose, California. We operate throughout the greater Bay Area. Our mission is to save the lives of cats and kittens in Santa Clara County. The Kitten Brigade rescues stray, feral, or abandoned cats and kittens. All of the cats and kittens in our foster care are raised in a loving home environment, so they are secure, well adjusted, affectionate and litter box trained.

Come Meet our Pets:

Our adoptions are made on a one-to-one basis. On occasion, we may bring the kitten to your home so that your meeting is more comfortable, personalized and intimate. We also have on site viewings at our foster location by appointment only. Time and place is to be arranged. Please call or e-mail us for more information.

Our Adoption Process:

All perspective adopters for our kittens are pre-screened. There is an application and contract for the adoption process. Once an adoption is complete, you have two weeks to return the animal for a possible replacement. There are no cash refunds. Our adoption fee is $85.00 for kittens which covers a veternarian visit, spay or nueture and any other medical expenses the animal has incurred. Shots are included for an additional fee. The kittens are deflead. We prefer payment in cash. All Donations are always welcome.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
