Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit Beagle rescue organization.
Our mission: to rescue abandoned, abused, injured, and neglected dogs; to provide each dog a temporary home and comprehensive care that focuses on their individual needs and prepares them to be adopted into a permanent home.
We educate the public about Beagles, with emphasis on proper care and guardianship of all companion animals, and raise awareness of companion animal welfare issues.
Our goal is to place our dogs in loving, permanent homes and to that end we seek to achieve the best fit possible - the right Beagle for the right home!
Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue does not operate a kennel or shelter. Our dogs live with a foster family, thus allowing us to evaluate them in a home setting. Please understand we cannot accommodate visitors at private homes. We will arrange for prospective adopters to meet a dog by appointment after an application is approved.
The decision to bring a Beagle into your home requires careful thought and consideration. Our goal is to place our foster dogs in loving, permanent homes and to that end we seek to achieve the best fit possible - the right Beagle for the right home. Please visit our web page: www.safehounds.com to learn more about the adoption process and to review our adoption guidelines.
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
