About Our Rescue Group:

Pals for Pooches is a non-profit rescue organization,established in 1999,that provides abused, abandoned and neglected canines with medical care, shelter and placement in loving adoptive homes.
All rescued dogs and puppies needing our help are cared for through a foster home program. Pals for Pooches is operated through a Board of Directors with the help of volunteers.

We hold our adoption days at the Petco on 1960 and Highway 59, in Humble Texas on Saturdays 11:00am-4:30pm.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process consists of an application and a short interview. Our adoption fee is $150 plus a $50 refundable deposit if the puppy is too young to be neutered prior to adoption. The adoption fee includes a set of 3 puppy shots, or an adult vaccination, vet check, worming, rabies, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment if necessary. We require our dogs to be inside pets only.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
