We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: Wildwoods Rescue is an all-breed rescue that will show our dogs by appointment. We are located 16 miles west of Martinsburg, WV, in Hedgesville, WV. Hedgesville, WV is located between Hagerstown, MD and Winchester, VA, 20 minutes from I-81. We are approx 1 1/2 hrs from the MD-DC area.
~Reconstruction~ Wildwoods Rescue has been rescuing animals and finding them loving and forever homes for almost 10 years. In order to improve and be capable of rescuing more animals, Wildwoods Rescue is not accepting any surrenders until 2011. This is a time for updating and reconstruction which will allow Wildwoods Rescue to better assist our community by rescuing more animals, and also find loving, forever homes for all of the animals who are still currently at Wildwoods Rescue. About Our Shelter
Wildwoods Rescue is located on a beautiful mountain in Hedgesville, WV. The dogs have six and a half acres to run and play on, with a pond for swimming. Wildwoods Rescue is a rescue that takes in neglected, abandoned and "just because they don't want me anymore" dogs and is a NO-KILL facility. We do our very best to find every dog a loving, "forever" home.

DONATIONS
Donations are wonderful!! Wildwoods Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit rescue and gladly accepts donations. We can always use rawhides, chewies, toys and balls, soft toys for the pups, paper towels, used soft blankets or comforters, sweaters and coats, (all sizes), collars and leashes (all sizes), doggie beds (all sizes), crates (new or used) and dog houses-igloos (new or used); also hay, and grain for the horses and farm animal. Anything that will help the animals is appreciated. Please help our furry four legged friends live a happy and healthy life, while at the Rescue. Monetary donations help us spay/neuter, pay for shots, including rabies and dental work.

We DO adopt to out of state applicants. WILDWOOD RESCUE ONLY ADOPTS INDOOR COMPANION DOGS. have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
