Camp Kitty
About Our Rescue Group
Who We Are: We are a 501(c)3 no-kill cat and kitten rescue group. Our mission is to place homeless, unwanted or abused cats and kittens into permanent, responsible homes. We also take on the occasional collie and beagle. .
Animals are given comprehensive veterinary care including feline leukemia and FIV testing, sterilization, immunizations, and parasite control. They are also microchiped to identify them should they become lost. Because all animals are fostered in our homes, they are well socialized before adoption.
NEWS: Home for Good! In an effort to find homes for our foster kitties, we lowered our already low adoption fee of $95 to $50 during the holiday season. Many of you said that $50 wasn't enough because every cat/kitten is sterilized, tested, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchiped; so you gave more, and we thank you!
We have enjoyed a period of increased adoptions recently that we attribute to our lower fee. This has enabled us to pull cats and kittens from animal control facilty, where they would likely be destroyed.
So we're gonna try something a little crazy...we are instituting a sliding scale adoption fee of $50 to $95, for as long as we can afford it. What's the catch? The catch is YOU decide where on the scale you belong.
Come Meet our Pets
Come see our kitties! Camp Kitty will be at Petco in Arborland Mall on Washtenaw Ave. in Ann Arbor, MI. on June 20th, Sat. from 11-2:30. Come meet these precious souls..
Our Adoption Process
We seek to place our animals in permanent, loving homes. To enable us to help you select the best cat for you, we ask you email us for our screening form.
This tells us about your kitty know-how, wants, and needs. They even come with a month health insurance for $1.00 courtesy of ShelterCare. What a bargain!
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat
or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from
a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
