Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
We specialize in non-shedding dogs, Bichon Frise, Poodles, Maltese, and their "friends"
All of our dogs live in a foster home for a minimum of 3 weeks - so that we can get to know the "real" dog. This helps us to match up the right dog with the apropriate family - making for one of the most successful adoption rates in the system. In the last 4 years, we have only had 1 dog returned to us!
Many of our rescues come to us in a "ragged" condition - hence the name - Rags to Riches!
If you would like to make a donation, we would be extremely grateful - and donations can be made through our Paypal account under the name of firstname.lastname@example.org -
Upon reviewing your application, we will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the dog of your choice, and confirm that he/she is a good match for your home/lifestyle.
A home check is required, along with a completed adoption contract
Our adoption fee is $325.00, and each of our dogs is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and their teeth have been cleaned if necessary. Of course. a general checkup is done by one of our vets for each of our dogs,
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
