Waupaca County and surrounding areas. Clintonville, Marion, Manawa, New London, Iola, Scandinavia, Ogdensburg, WaupacaWe will do out of town adoptions, as long as all our conditions are met!
About Our Shelter:
We are working hard to end pet overpopulation by setting an example for our community! All dogs, cats and rabbits adopted from us are spayed or neutered prior to adoption! We work very hard to get our adoptable animals into good homes as quickly as possible.New visitors to our facility are often pleasantly surprised how cheerful and clean it is. This is NOT what folks typically think of as an "animal shelter". Please come see for yourself!

Come Meet our Pets:
Our new Adoption Center is a place of hope, not despair. Please come an visit us- you will see why! All animals are very well-cared for until we can place them into new, loving homes. You will find us located behind the Waupaca Airport, just off of HWY 10, east of Waupaca. We are open Mon and Thursday from 12 - 3pm, Wed and Friday from 2- 7pm, Saturday from 12 - 5pm and Sunday from 11am - 1pm. We are closed on Tuesdays. We are also available by appointment. You can also see some of our available cats at the PetSmart store in Grand Chute (near Appleton). Our Adoption Process:
Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. We consider these to be good values after you take into consideration how much medical care goes into each animal before placement. Every dog, cat and rabbit is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All dogs and cats are started on Deworming and Vaccinations including Rabies. All cats are tested for FeLV and FIV, dogs are tested for Heartworm, as applicable. Dogs are kept on HW preventative. All animals come with an adoption packet including a special DVD for new adoptive pet owners, a Health record and 30 days of Health Insurance. We do require that you fill out an application, and wait patiently for at least 24 hours while our committee goes over it. In almost all cases, you'll be required to come visit the animal and put down a deposit before we will place it "on hold". We will do out of town adoptions, but you must comply with the above conditions. In some cases, applications may be pre-approved via email, fax or mail, so that you may pick up your new pet in one visit.
