Karmana Farm
About Our Rescue Group
Karmana Farm, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) rescue with an interest in helping animals with Special Needs, however many of our adoptable pets' only special need is that they had no other option available to them and were at high risk. We use natural and holistic modalities combined with conventional veterinary treatment in the care of our adoptable animals. We emphasize the importance of good nutrition for the restoration and maintenance of health. All of our dogs are given loving attention in a foster home environment to teach them the skills they will need and expectations they will face in adjusting to their forever home and family. We are an all-volunteer organization and all donations go directly to fund nutrition, veterinary care and housing of animals. We appreciate donations of any amount and a donation of $25-50 will support one rescue dog for about a month while they await their forever home. We are animal lovers and are always happy to share information with those who want to learn more about holistic and natural care for their pets, but recommend that you consult your veterinarian for healthcare issues. We also have a website feature where we share "Tips and Tidbits" sent to us by adopters and supporters. We'd love to hear from you! Please visit us at www.karmanafarm.petfinder.org .
Our Adoption Process
Karmana Farm requires a completed application and home visit for all adoptions. Requested adoption donations range from $150-200 and are based on a variety of factors which we always share with adopters. The application can be accessed on the website and there is a contract to sign at the time an adoption agreement is reached. "The Bottom Line" is that we work through this process in order to find the best possible match between pet and adopter. We know it takes more time and work to adopt from a rescue, and we do our best to respect that extra effort by being prompt and service oriented. Our goal is to provide adopters with a thoughtful adoption process that leads to a good match with their new friend. Please access our website at www.karmanafarm.petfinder.org .

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
