Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We serve Contra Costa County.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a non-profit, 501c(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals. We operate such programs as Adopt-A-Friend, Spay/Neuter Assistance, Emergency Medical Funding, and Humane Education.

Come Meet our Pets:

We do not operate an animal shelter and therefore do not keep available animals on site. Our animals are in foster homes and are met by appointment only. We do publicize when, on occassion, animals will be in our office to meet the public.

Our Adoption Process:

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before being placed into their adoptive home.

The fee to adopt a puppy or dog is $125.00. The fee to adopt a kitten or cat is $110.00, and the fee for two cats or kittens is $180.00.

An adoption application must be completed for any animal. Once approved, a meeting will be set up for the prospective adopter to meet the animal. A 24-hour "wait period" is then in effect to allow the family time to discuss the animal and determine whether or not they're able to make the necessary committment.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
