Pets at Our Rescue Group:
Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:We work to help alleviate the overpopulation of animals in the South by finding loving, caring forever homes for them in the New England states and around the country.
From Alaska to Louisiana to Rhode Island, we work to find the BEST homes for our babies regardless of where they are. We have foster homes around the country and nationwide adoptions are available.
About Our Rescue Group:We've been rescuing and placing "unwanted" animals since 1988. We've expanded to other areas of the country to enable us to help as many as possible. While our rescue work focuses mainly on chihuahuas, yorkies, and other small breed dogs, we often have others available for adoption.
Over the years, we've also developed a passion for senior and special needs dogs. We are proud of our Seniors for Seniors program which involves placing some of our special senior dogs with senior citizens for a reduced adoption fee. Due to these reduced fees, we actively seek sponsors to help cover veterinary and transport costs. Please email us if you have any questions or would like to help sponsor a Seniors for Seniors dog.

Come Meet our Pets:Our pets are in foster homes across the country. Interested in being a foster parent to one of these furkids? Drop us an email for more information.
Our Adoption Process:Our dogs are fully vetted before adoption. This includes vaccinations, heartworm testing & treatment if necessary, heartworm preventative, and spay or neuter. SBR has a 100% spay/neuter policy prior to adoption. We do NOT make exceptions so please do not ask. If we have puppies available, they will not be released to an adoptive home until they are spayed or neutered.
SBR does not adopt out dogs on a first come, first serve basis. We strive to find the best possible home for each of our babies. We will not hold dogs for homes that are not ready to adopt yet or have not yet been approved to adopt.
