Cass's Canine Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We were formed in remembrance of a husky named Cass who gave birth to 7 babies next to the interstate at the Chester exit. She was later poisoned. So our rescue is dedicated to saving mothers, their babies and spreading the word about spay/neuter and poison prevention.
Come Meet our Pets
A person wishing to meet our rescues are welcomed to make an appointment with the director using the phone number posted. You may also send questions via email regarding those rescues posted here. We are not set up to attend adoption events at this time.
Our Adoption Process
We require that you fill out a pre-adoption application with information about yourself and (if applicable) your family. Other information such as residence (fenced yard), ability to care for dog and what you would do if moving, expecting a baby, or behavior problems occur with the new pet.
Adoption fees vary but range from $50 to $100.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
