Pets at Our Rescue Group:
Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Our base of operations is in Central New Jersey (down the shore...) with active members from Florida to Maine.
About Our Rescue Group:My Way Home Rescue (MWHR) is a not-for-profit group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing, fostering, transporting, and otherwise coordinating efforts to help more pets find their way to loving, permanent homes. In addition, we encourage networking among potential adopters and many reliable rescue resources.
Any financial support to help us care for our animals is very much appreciated. We also welcome donations of crates, bowls, wee wee pads, collars and leashes, beds and blankets for the pets in our care.
Come Meet our Pets:Care for each of our pets is provided in approved private foster homes. We have no public facility in which to visit the pets at this time.
To ensure the safety and privacy of our pets and foster families, as well as those of our potential adopters, all "Meet and Greets" will be scheduled after an Adoption Application has been approved and a Home Visit has been satisfactorily conducted.
Our Adoption Process:We screen every applicant very carefully to ensure that they understand the responsibilities involved in caring properly for a pet. A detailed application from which we conduct a rigorous Reference Verification and a Home Visit with all household members present are pre-adoption requirements.
During the application process, we provide care for our available pets in approved private foster homes where we observe and evaluate each pet for temperament and behavior, continue with the pet's socialization and training, and provide for their physical well being and health.
Adoption Donations defray expenses incurred during the rescue process, (i.e., vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter) and the foster/evaluation process (i.e., health, safety, training, socialization).
