Abandoned Cats Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
Abandoned Cats Rescue is a completely independent rescue group that is 100% run by committed volunteers. Most of our cats have been rescued from an out-of-town Animal Control, typically the day before they would be euthanized. They are hand-picked based on temperament. Since thousands are euthanized each year we can't help them all, so we work with the ones that are most adoptable. Our cats are housed in loving volunteer foster homes. All adoption fees and donations go completely to assisting the cats in our care. Our cats are spayed or neutered, checked by a vet, and treated for medical needs as necessary. We never euthanize animals we can't find homes for. Abandoned Cats doesn't always rescue "the most beautiful cats" - We believe there is the perfect home for ALL of our cats and all deserve a chance to be loved forever! Abandoned Cats Rescue is a Canadian Registered Charity. We're proud of this affiliation, because it reflects our dedication not only to the cats and kittens that we rescue, but also to the general public who adopt our cats and generously donate to us.
Come Meet our Pets
All of our cats are in loving foster homes. We believe it's best that they don't spend their pre-adoption lives in cages. You are welcome to set up appointments with our wonderful volunteer foster parents. We do have regular adopt-a-thons held at local pet stores. Please check our website for scheduled dates and times.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption process is very simple! Please call us at 647-477-5807 or email: info@WeRescueCats.ca and we'll be happy to explain it to you.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat
or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from
a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
