New Jersey Rescue the Felines
About Our Rescue Group
We are a small organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of homeless cats.We are not a shelter. All of the cats we rescue are from high kill shelters, many times we are their last hope for finding a new forever home. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OWNED/FOUND PETS. All of the pets we rescue and adopt are non-feral, some have been home raised in a foster-family setting with other pets and people. All of our pets are tested for FELV/FIV, given age related vaccines, wormed, and have been given protection against fleas. Those that are old enough have been spayed/neutered, those that are too young must be altered by the age of 6 months. Our group also helps to educate the public about the benefit of owning and being owned by a rescued cat, the importance of spaying and neutering, and other aspects on how to be a responsible owner by providing the proper care and training. We ultimately hope to reduce the number of cats that require rescue, or are needlessly euthanized.

Our Adoption Process
We rescue the following BREEDS OF CATS!
These are the breeds that we rescue on a regular basis. They include: Manx, American and Japanese Bobtail, Cymeric, Extra-toes(Hemingway polydactly). There are many variations of each breed and we rescue both pure and mixed types of each. Below are just some of the wonderful cats we have looking for a new furever home!
Adoption fees are from $55.00(senior cats) to $125.00 (kittens) per cat. A fee adjustment will be made if adopting 2 adult cats together!
Our first step is to file a preadoption application on any cat you are looking to adopt. This application is located on our website. We may require a home check.. Any and all adoption fees must be paid at the time of adoption.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat
or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from
a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
