Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
1. Completion of an adoption application. This allows us to learn more about your family and lifestyle and helps us to match a rescue boxer with your home. You will be notified by e-mail or phone when your application is received by Lone Star Boxer Rescue. If you have submitted an application and do not receive confirmation of receipt within 5 days, please contact us by phone at 281-944-5727 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Once the completed application is received and reviewed by our volunteers, you will be contacted for a phone interview and to discuss dogs currently available for adoption.
3. We also may conduct an in-person interview at your home before an adoption is approved. A non-refundable $25 application fee will be applied toward the adoption fee upon approval of your application.
4. After your application is approved, you and your family (including pets!) will be invited to meet rescue boxers.
If you have any questions about our organization or adoption process, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at email@example.com or by phone 281-944-5727.
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
