Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Colbert Veterinary Rescue Services, Inc is located in Colbert, Georgia. We are located in northeast Georgia in Madison County and are surrounded by Athens-Clarke County, Elbert County, Jackson County, and Franklin County.
About Our Rescue Group:The mission of Colbert Veterinary Rescue Services, Inc. is to provide veterinary care for healthy or sick, unwanted, adoptable dogs and cats in need and to place each dog/cat into a loving and permanent home.
We also assist other rescue organizations in pulling and caring for dogs that they will adopt through their organization.
We also take animal abuse seriously and should we have knowledge of animal abuse or neglect, we reserve the right to prosecute.
Come Meet our Pets:We are currently working with our volunteers to set up an adoption site in Athens, Georgia. We will keep you posted with information once we know.
Our Adoption Process:The adoption process requires that an adoption application be filled out and returned to us. Please e-mail us at email@example.com for the application. Once we receive it back, we will process it - we do call veterinary references and personal references listed and verify information that is given to us. We also require a home visit, so if you are applying from out-of-state, it may take time to arrange for a shelter or rescue close to you to do the visit for us.
Our adoption fees for cats are $75 and for dogs it ranges from $150 to $250, depending on the dog.
Once the application has been approved, then you may come and meet the dog or cat.
We make every effort to match the right animal for the right home. If we do not believe that the temperament of the animal you are applying for is in your family's best interest, we will let you know and may recommend another animal.
