All Breed Rescue Northeast
About Our Rescue Group
The core of this particular rescue was started in Knoxville, TN way back in the 20th century and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary soon. If you don’t know a lot about southern shelters, let me fill you in a bit. Unlike most shelters in the north, southern shelters don’t keep their dogs around for long. That’s a fairly nice way to say they have a high euthanasia rate.
Come Meet our Pets
Meet and greet our dogs a various locations and events throughout Southern Maine and New England.
We are all volunteers doing this on nights and weekends, outside of our full time jobs and family responsibilities. Please understand if it takes a day or two for someone to get back to you regarding a dog or cat. All applications are processed as quickly as they can be, we see no reason for any animal to stay in foster care any longer then necessary. For every dog or cat we find a furever home for, we can rescue another one from a life of misery. All animals from this rescue MUST be spayed or neutered. All references will be checked and a phone interview will be conducted prior to a home visit being done. All adoptions must be approved by rescue director. Any animal from this rescue will not be transported to their furever home without full payment of the adoption fee. Bank checks are the preferred method of payment.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
