The animal shelter is a department of the government of Carroll County.

Adoption hours are: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 till 5:00. Closed on Sunday.

Our Adoption Process:

Adoption fee for cats is $95 and for dogs is $115. This fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (felv/feleuk) test (cats); deworming; microchip; and 30 days pet health insurance.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
