Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

.We usually serve local areas in Jax., Fl. Most of our rescues come from people having to give up a pet for a personal resond like health issues, moving, or just can't afford to take care of them any more and want us to find good homes. We also take in strays that people find or that we find. If it is a stray, we always check for microchips and call all the local vets. We try for a couple of weeks to find the owner. Only after then do we put the dog up for adoption.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a married couple who love animals. We do have a few of our own but after I worked for a breed specific rescue for a while, I felt sorry for all the other ones that said they had no where else to go so after taking in one or two we decided this was what we were meant to do. We've been doing this for a few years now and still love it. We only take in 1 or 2 dogs at a time so we can spend time with them and not keep them in crates. We can't take in aggressive or biters. Some dogs have had a few social problems that have been solved with time. I stay home during the day so the dogs are never left alone for very long. We fall in love with all of them and work very hard to make them comfortable and happy while they are here.

Our Adoption Process:

If the dog is turned over to us, the owner has to sign a release contract. All dogs must be vaccinated and checked for worms before we accept them. If they are a stray, we still get them vaccinated and isolate them to protect the other dogs. All the rescues are vaccinated and spay or neutered before they are adoped out. We use this time to get to know them. They only stay in crates at night and when we are away. The rescues live in our home as one of our own. When it's time to put them on the website, we take applications and eventually place the dog with the owner that best matches their personality. The dogs never leave us until we find the right person that fits into the dogs schedule. The new owner must sign an adoption contract. They are to be returned to us if things don't work out. We do after checks on all our dogs often for a few months. The adoption fee depends on how much money we have put into them. It could run anywhere between $150.00 to $300.00. We don't make any money at this and we usually don't break even. It's all about the dog. We keep our rescues until they are adopted.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
