Pets at Our Shelter:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are the Perry Animal Shelter located in Perry, GA. We serve only the City of Perry. We do have an adoption assistance program. This program allows people who have found or own an animal who live outside of Perry city limits to use our resources to adopt the animal.

About Our Shelter:

The Perry Animal Shelter is run by the City of Perry. The volunteers of the animal shelter contribute their time to the rehoming and adoption of unwanted animals in the City of Perry. We also work very hard to help those outside of the city with our adoption assistance program.

Come Meet our Pets:

We participate in adoption days at Petsmart in Warner Robins, GA every Saturday from 10am-6pm. You may also visit the animals, by appointment only, at the Perry Animal Shelter, located at 1000 Tucker Road, anytime Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Please take into consideration that most of our adoptable animals are in foster homes and may only be viewed at Petsmart.

Our Adoption Process:

We are a non-profit organization. The adoption fee for our animals varies.

All of our cats are $90. This fee covers routine shots up to the date of adoption, rabies, fecal and deworming, sterilization, and Fel/Fiv testing.

Dogs range from $150-$250. These fees cover each animal's specific health needs. Each charge will cover the animal's routine shots up to the age of adoption, rabies, fecal and deworming, microchip and sterilization.

If you are interested in any of the animals, please email paws_dawgs@yahoo.com for dogs or e-mail Wendy at admin@fopas.com for cats. Or call between 8-5 Monday through Friday at 478-988-2888.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
