Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
We are a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of fear, pain, and suffering in all animals. To that end, we provide shelter and adoption for homeless and unwanted animals; low-cost sterilization surgeries and vaccinations in our own in-house, state-of-the-art clinic; humane education programs for school children all along the Wasatch Front; investigation of animal neglect, cruelty, and abuse throughout the state, pet-facilitated therapy to area hospitals and nursing homes; and informative publications to all of our members. Our Adoption Process:
The Humane Society encourages adoption of its animals by offering a complete package for a single lowprice, which includes the animal's spay or neuter surgery, first vaccinations, a complete physical examination by an independent veterinarian, and a leash
for dogs or a carrier for cats. The Society also does its best to make sure that its animals are adopted only to
responsible, caring homes. All potential adopters are required to fill out a preliminary questionnaire and undergo counseling with a shelter employee before adoptions are approved.
