About Our Shelter:

Lincoln County Animal Shelter is a small shelter located in a rural area about 50 minutes from Lexington, KY. We work with Brighter Days for Shelters, a rescue group that focuses on trying to assist the rural shelters of Kentucky.

Come Meet our Pets:

Dogs and cats can be seen via the internet or by visiting the shelter. The shelter hours are 8-5pm Monday - Friday. Saturday 8-12.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process involves contacting the shelter coordinator and requesting an application. Return the application via email to the coordinator and it will then be reviewed by the coordinator and the shelter manager. Upon approval, the adoption fee for a dog is $60. this covers the spay/neuter and vaccines. Cats are $50. and covers the same services.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
