Boxer Rescue of Atlantic Canada
About Our Rescue Group
Boxer Rescue of Atlantic Canada is comprised of a small group of volunteers with a common passion - Boxers!! We love the breed and are devoted to their welfare. We strive to place all of our dogs in loving, responsible homes, suited to the dog's best interest.
Each of our volunteers come from different backgrounds. Their professional careers are vastly varied, their home situations are just as varied. However, their love for dogs, BOXERS in particular, has brought them together. Each dog benefits from something different at every home, and from every hand of our volunteers. Anyone needing assistance, as well, benefits from our diverse backgrounds, knowledge, and experiences.
Our Adoption Process
The first step in our adoption process is our application, which can be found right on our website. You may apply for a specific adoptable or for pre-approval. We will contact you once we receive your application to go over your answers.
Upon successful completion we will check your references given, your veterinarian and also your community animal control/municipality. We will visit your home for an interview. You're always given the tools needed to succeed.
All of our animals are vetted prior to adoption. Your pet will be spayed or neutered and be current on vaccinations to the current protocol of the CVMA, unless recommended otherwise by a veterinarian. In the case of puppies, the adopter is responsible for cost and to keep the spay/neuter appointment of the puppy in the time limit given.
Fees: Adult Dogs: $220 Puppies: $150
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
