About Our Shelter:

Petzone (non-profit) is making a difference one dog at a time by saving dogs from local animal control facilities facing euthanasia,. We have set up our facility like a doggie daycare for our rescue dogs! All Petzone Dogs are: DOG FRIENDLY, CRATE TRAINED, temperament tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, vetted, and come with 4 FREE training lessons, in person or thru email. WE DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS! We can cat and kid test any dog, just ask! We offer full service grooming, an affordable vet clinic and vaccines. We also have a thrift shop to offer low cost household goods to the public to offset some of the costs associated with dog rescue. Our Adoption Process:

Fill out application , require home visits, vet and personal references, then we will set an appointment for you to come meet the dog your interested in. If you have children or other dogs in the household we request you bring them to the initial visit with the dog interested in.

When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
