About Jonesboro Animal Control

The department of Animal Control is responsible for removing dangerous and/or disruptive animals from a public environment, and caring for stray or abandoned domesticated animals.

The unit is supervised by a Police Sergeant and is staffed by a certified police officer, three Animal Control officers, and a kennel master. They are on call 24 hours per day, but can best be reached by contacting their office during normal duty hours between 8a.m. and 4p.m. at (870) 935-3920

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
