Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are located in Clark County and we mainly pull animals off the streets in our county and surrounding areas.

About Our Rescue Group:

LIFE is a non-profit, 501C3 organization based in Clark County, dedicated in giving homeless animals a chance for a better life by rescuing, fostering, and adopting animals into loving homes. We are a group of volunteers concerned about pet overpopulation and educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering. We are funded solely by donations and fundraising efforts and could not save these precious animals without your support.

Our Goal
LIFE for Pets goal is to eventually do away with the need for unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable animals at our local shelter. We have already successfully campaigned to get legislation in place requiring every animal adopted from the shelter to be altered before it is adopted. As a result of pet overpopulation there is an abundance of suffering stray animals on our streets searching for shelter, their next meal, or sadly, dying needlessly from various diseases or accidents. It is our prayer that more pet owners will see the need in having their animals altered which will help us in our efforts to save these furry companions.

Spay/ Neuter
We offer a low cost spay/neuter program for low income clark county. To find out if you apply call our voicemail # 859 737-5600.

Come Meet our Pets:

We do remote adoptions at the Petsmart in Lexington every Saturday from 12-6.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $100. All dogs must go to a hme with a fenced in yard. There is an application process. You fill out the application, the foster parent reviews it and if approved we will bring the dog to you.
Our adoption fee for cats and kittens is $75. All of our cats are to be strictly indoors, we rescue them off the streets and therefore don't want them going back out there. There is an application process, you fill out an application and a contract, the foster parent reviews it and if approved you can take the cat home.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
