We serve all of Western Washington. Most of adopters come from the Seattle/Tacoma areas.

About Our Rescue Group:

CARS is a pet rescue organization supported entirely by donations and fundraisers. We are based in the Tacoma, WA area but serve wherever we are able! CARS uses a network of foster homes for our rescued pets.

We are proudly dedicated to the pets of our community and are working to reduce and ultimately eliminate pet overpopulation and homelessness. We promote spaying and neutering of all cats and dogs and work toward a community where no adoptable pets are killed simply because there are not enough homes.

Our Adoption Process:

Adopters are to fill out an adoption application and we check all references including landlord information. If application is approved we have the adopter sign an agreement and pay $90 for adoption fee. All of of adoptions include free 30 day pet insurance. All of our cats are flea free, spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
