Community Animal Programs (C.A.P.)
About Our Rescue Group
We have been in existence since 1993, affiliated with the Little Falls YMCA, as an all volunteer animal rescue organization. Starting out as just a spay/neuter assistance group, we grew into an animal rescue group encountering many situations of animals in need. We focus on cat rescue primarily because of the great need of homeless cats in our area. We do also assist in helping place dogs on an as needed basis.
Come Meet our Pets
We are located at Valley Home Furnishings in Little Falls, NY, which is located in Shoppers Square in between Albany and Main Streets. We are open Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and any other times by appointment. We also operate a Thrift Store next door to help raise monies to support our animal rescue program.
Our Adoption Process
We ask that potential adopters fill out an adoption questionnaire which must be approved before an adoption takes place. The adoption fee is $50.00 and includes all of the initial veterinary care needed for our pets, including spaying and neutering.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat
or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from
a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
